Could Climate Change Cause Economic Losses in Agriculture?
August 25, 2016
A new study shows, global warming could create a huge economic impact in agricultural. Around the world climate change threatens agriculture productivity, which then rises food prices. As customers are not getting more "bang for their buck" they will be getting very frustrated and will stop buying products and possibly start growing their own food products. Sending the agriculture business down the drain. However, economic losses could be limited to 0.3 percent of global GDP -- depending on agricultural trade.
I find this issue particularly interesting because I am an agricultural person, born and raised on a dairy. And the fact that the agricultural business as a whole might start taking a turn for the worse scares me. So many people that I know are already struggling this will just crush them to the ground. And although yes I choose this article for personal reasons it is still very important to save the agricultural business.
